Thank you for shopping with Stitching Horse Saddlery.  

We have been in business since 1985 and believe in customer service at its best.  Please never hesitate to call or e-mail us with any questions you might have on an item you need or have received.  Our goal is your complete satisfaction.

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express, so you can either call your order in or use the shopping cart.  We will ship all in-stock items within 24 hours Monday through Friday.  We will notify you immediately if an item is out of stock and give you an expected delivery time.

 We use UPS, FedEx and USPS.  Once an item has shipped, we will e-mail you with the tracking number.  Unless the item is a special order or custom work, you should expect delivery between 5-10 working days.

Privacy
All your personal information is for the sole use of Stitching Horse Saddlery.  We will not share or sell your information to anyone.  We will ask your permission to add your information to our e-mail list.  We occasionally send out flyers with coupons and advance notice of store sales and new arrivals.  We completely understand if you do not want to be included on this list.

Return Policy
You may return an item for a refund, store credit, or exchange if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.  For a refund, all returns MUST be in our hands within 30 days of receipt.  After 30 days, a store credit will be issued. Returns received after 45 days will be refused.  

All returns must be accompanied by the original or clear copy of the receipt.  Returns must be in original packaging with all tags attached, unused, unsoiled and undamaged.  We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee on any item that doesn’t comply with our return policies.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Bits, Helmets, Horse Clothing, Saddle Pads, Custom or Personalized Items, Clearance items and Gift Certificates are not returnable.  

Items received within the 30 days will receive the refund in the manner the order was paid.  Cash and check purchases will be refunded by check.  Refunds to credit cards must be applied to the credit card used for the original purchase.  A minimum of seven business days are required for payment fulfillment.  All checks returned for insufficient or uncollectable funds will be subject to a service charge of $30.

If you received the wrong item, please notify us immediately as the item must be returned within 7 days of delivery. Upon receipt we will ship the correct item, if it is in stock, and refund the reasonable cost of shipping the item back.  Please include a copy of the carrier’s shipping charge. DO NOT ship the item overnight, next day, etc. as we will only refund regular ground charges.  If the item is not in stock, we will notify you immediately.  You have the option of waiting for the correct item to be shipped or receiving a full refund.

Shipping Outside Continental U.S.

Alaska and Hawaii customers, as well as international customers are responsible for all actual shipping charges.  We will notify you of the best possible shipping rate prior to charging you for your order. 

International Duty and Custom Charges – Your order may be subject to import duties and custom charges.  International customers are responsible for these fees.  Please check with local authorities for more information.

Stable and Training Tips

Cool Down Properly After a Workout

After removing the saddle, put on a light blanket or cooler if the weather is cold and windy.  If a cooler isn’t available, leave the pad in place until your horse cools down slightly.

Your horse should then be offered twelve to fifteen swallows of cool water.  On a hot day, hose the horse down with cool water then rub him down vigorously with a towel. Pay special attention to the area where the saddle was, as well as the neck and flanks.

Then walk the horse out to get his temperature, pulse rate and respiration rate down to a normal level.  Make sure the horse is moving at a good working walk, since a sluggish horse will cool too quickly.
